We were maxed out on prims for a couple days there but now we’ve got a little more breathing space. To those artists that have not had a chance yet, here’s your chance, and If you’ve got 1o really great ideas to share, i’d just say why not parcel them out to us one idea per week over the next 10 weeks– i kinda like the idea that there are people out there ready to blow brookyn art fans away with their inginuity and just waiting for the right moment to pounce! The gallery is closed today and tomorrow (as always, its open thursday - monday 9am -3pm SLT) –when it opens up again thursday what will be waiting for us? < cue scary music>
This one was of particular interest to me, Its a magic painting that changes when it’s owner speaks certain magic words to it. Over the course of its stay at Brooklyn is Watching this piece, also by DanCoyote changed many times as he came by to change it for us.
One of the things that is most interesting to me about this (more…)

What do noob brooklyn art fans like to playwith most? Well this week it was definitely DanCoyote’s pixelboard which we first talked about on this post.
On sunday at Jack the Pelican Presents we had quite a few art fans stop and play with the installation. The ones that did were totally blown away by some of the stuff in the BIW yard. Far more people walked by and only glanced at the screen, thinking, i’m pretty sure that it was just a video. The idea of playing with artwork, while far from revolutionary, is still fairly uncommon. I think it will be fun to see if SL residents start finding ways to get the attention of gallery visitors who would other wise just walk on by. The gallery is open again today- i’m going to head there pretty soon myself.
Anyone else have videos of BIW?
The Gallery is open and Saturdays are the most busy days. SL, Brooklyn is Watching. Whatcha got for us? There’s a ton of really interesting looking stuff that is sitting on the BIW sim right now, and i’ll be showing it to people who come by the gallery, but how bout performance artists… where have you been hiding? Come on out. From noon to 6pm EST, (9am - 3pm SLT) we’re ready for you.
