During our last podcast we spoke about the idea of Avatars that had huge influences on Second Life but are now gone for whatever reasons. So far in my 4 weeks at Brooklyn is Watching we have built two memorials, one a huge 20 sided die for Gary Gygax and now a huge Monolith in remembrance of Arthur C. Clarke
It has been mentioned how Dungons and Dragons established alot of what is Second Life today, and that the writing of Arthur C Clarke has inspired us all.
Science Fiction writer AND scientist…
we have him to thank for satellite communications and the global positioning system… he came up with the idea of geostationary satellites!
