I’m very pleased to announce what many of you already know — BIW has moved! Thanks to Mab Macmoragh / Lovers Lane Studios for the incredibly generous gift of the use of one quarter of the PUSH sim.
Thankyou and farewell to the university of Kansas Department of Fine art which was our home for all of the summer and most of the fall, and thank you to Sage Duncan aka Stacey Fox for her invaluable support of the project and video podcasts.
Thank you to Dekka Raymaker for setting up the tower etc. and thanks to Penumbra Carter, Selavy Oh, and Solo Mornington for additional help and thanks to Misprint Thursday who has jumped into the breach to organize our grand-re-opening and a new slate of weekly podcasts starting next week.
Things are coming back together and we’re ready for the project to get momentum going again. In fact there are already some excellent artworks on the sim to see… Go check it out.
Question for anyone reading this- what is the best artwork you’ve seen recently in SL (not just at biw, anywhere – photos please! – use new ability to put images in comments) and what is the best bit of writing you’ve read about SL art in recent weeks (links please!).

I love the new space! Kudos to Dekka and everyone who worked on making it a great place to show new work. And true to the “if you build it they will come” motto, there is already a lot of interesting art there (look underwater too).
