Re Miss Graves, I believe they are individual prims without a back image, your comment the ‘image shifts’ should have made it more obvious, I am think Miss Graves has stretched one out to show the process, or maybe I just dreamed that.
I was there when Suzanne was installing the pieces. She explained that they are made up of around 200 prims – flat, semi-transparent triangles – that were generated by a kind of “evolution” algorithm. She gave me a URL to the source code and a blog with some very interesting comments about the process.
