Voting begins

Today i’m sending out an email to everyone who has ever been on the podcast to tell them how so they can vote on the 30 best. Its an impressive list of people (below). Don’t worry if you’re not on this list you will still get to vote- only 20 of the 30 best are being picked by the podcast participants- the other 10 will be chosen by open voting on this blog in a manner TBD (really soon).

the ones with question marks next to their name are people who;s emails addys i either never had or misplaced if anyone knows their email addresses please send them to me jay@early-adopter.com (don’t post them – i’m trying to respect people’s privacy.

The results of this week’s voting will give us the 30 best show– which will then be looked at by the 5 judges to determine the FINAL FIVE.

for the piece– so if you wanted to vote for many artworks by the same artist that would be ok- and it means we could end up with less than 30 artists represented – i think that’s ok. Its really about the best work- no matter who did it.

People are still adding nominations to the Wiki, there are new entries appeared today. Really it is tough shit if people were too lazy to contribute anything before now, I hope any entries made after the deadline will be disqualified.

yes definitely arahan- I’m sure there’s a way to lock down the wiki but I don’t know it- I asked boris to lock it, but even if he dosen’t get to it we can roll-back any changes made after the 1st.

I think it might have been you who added the entries after the deadline Jay, Haha! Anyway, there are still nominations for DC on there that were added too late -

And was the last date for entries the 30th June or the 1st July? I think you said somewhere that it was midnight on the 30th, and if that’s the case then there are a bunch more nominations that were added too late.

Oh dear- I think I said the 30th was the last day in one place and the first was the last day somewhere else. On the main description of the whole thing it says “through july 1″ — I think we have to go with the latter of the two as the official cut off. Arahan, maybe next year you should run this thing- it would probably be run better!
