Amy\'s post about \"orientation\"
Hey everyone! I just was listening to ArtHole Radio and I found out that Amy Wilson (AKA Amy Freelunch) is back in the business of critiquing second life art on her new blog, “see-through“. Welcome back to the business Amy! One of the artworks that she discuses sounds reeeeaaaaaalllllllyyyyyy bad ass, its called orientation and I’m going to try to find out if i can go see it in person right now. Read what she has to say about it, and i’ll see if i can find a way that you can listen to this timeshifted– Amy told me that it would be available as an mp3 download but I don’t see it. There’s some interesting commentary in her audio about the concept of “not possible in real life” and how that relates to SL as a world of escapism or not which I think is a really important angle to discuss. ArtHole Radio Network! please become a podcast! Things do not work in my life unless they are time-shiftable and I want ArtHole Radio in my life! Please cater to my desire for convenience!

aw, thanks man!

Arahan has all the answers as to why this project is broadcast the way it is, etc… and I think it has something to do with us playing music and copyrights, etc., but I defer to him on that.

Ah ha! — here’s an archive of old shows thanks Arahan!

OK, so we decided as from next Wednesday we will pre-record all our shows and upload them to the archive (kindly donated by SunShine Kukulcan). It has actually proved to be a bit of a headache broadcasting the live streams because people get confused about the different times zones. So, this way, you can indeed have Arthole Radio in your life Jay. (Recordings of today’s shows will be available probably tomorrow).

As regards Orientation, sorry, it was a live performance that only happened twice, it might be something we could show again in the future.

Real excited that Amy is talking about Second Life art again, I hope people will listen to the weekly shows and get a dialogue going on her blog. It’s an important step forward, as is BiW, for SL art and artists.

Thanks for listening!
