THE SECOND TO LAST PRIM BY PONK BING and THE </a>LAST PRIM BY PONK BING

As objects, these aren’t very interesting; they’re just default plywood cubes with hovertext scripts added. They’re even named Object; the titles of the works come from their hovertext. But if the hovertext is true they mark the passing of one of Second Life’s more interesting artists. Ponk Bing placed some controversial and very unsubtle works at Brooklyn is Watching that generated a lot of discussion on the podcast; if Ponk has decided to stop building or leave Second Life, our world will be poorer for the loss.

This photo was taken as a screen capture of the Second Life viewer (cropped to take the menus and stuff out) rather than a snapshot so that the hovertext would be visible.
