It’s a work made entirely of white cubes; who else could it be but Selavy Oh? (To clarify, the work I am reviewing is the white tower of angled cubes that is just behind the Brooklyn is Watching tower — or in front of it from this point of view, which is from the back of the tower.) The cubes are about 3×3m at the base and 1×1m at the very top — but it’s hard to see the entire build at once because of viewer limits. The taper is subtle enough that I actually went up to it and put some measuring cubes next to it to make sure it wasn’t just an illusion. I later talked to the artist and got the actual numbers.
It looks unstable, but because of Second Life magic it can stand up… or can it? Touch the tower and see what happens…

another great example of how this website brings work to life… I first saw the tower of cubes and thought “hm. tower of cubes.”
then I read here to touch it- and it was in the back of my mind until I finally logged in and went over to the sim and touched it.
then I started touching other things (like robin’s work, that I got free copies of, and the new thing dc left).
so, new note to self : touch everything.
