I have no idea, but I like where it’s going… is there a (mini)history of set-up photography in SL ala Gregory Crewdson/Cindy Sherman that I am totally unaware of? Oh man, I hope so. That would be awesome.

wow, this is second front!
is this / was that a life-performance?

Ah ha! - well on the BIW sim is a big photo- i don’t know what of- when it happened and where… of course it could be photoshop… Second Front as the apostles?

here’s the link to their blog on the work (i tried posting this already, so sorry if it appears twice):

Patrick Lichty here, AKA Man Michinaga of SF.

This is a weird one, because the performance is SF, but I sort of claim the photo. You can fine the performance/gallery video on youtube.

However, I’ve been making an “old Masters” series for a while, and this was the first. I created a 30m backdrop from scratch in Maya, then I created the dais in front, Everyone got in place and we did a few takes, this being the best. Gaz was a perfect Christ figure, and I am in the Judas slot.

In the performance, everyone suddenly began expelling wine/blood and projectile-d while standing on the table. I’ve stopped interpreting it, as it’s one of the most complex and evocative pieces we ever did.

It also exists as a 6′ oil, 500 signed postcards that we are trying to get in the monastery’s giftshop (gaz lives a kilo from there in Milan), and an edition of 6′ inkjets. I would like to try a large lightjet and a rasterbator print before retiring the image.

Currently, Gazira and I are working on a new series called “7-UP”, 12 performance videos and a print series.

yayyyy, thanks for leaving us something, Patrick!
