Hey Jay.
Thanks for posting my video. It was a lot of fun installing the piece among all the other pink work at BiW this week. I suppose the pink got started with Arahan (Mr. Hyper Gay) and was responding in turn. The color pink connotes a lot of things and is either loved or hated in my experience. For example, my 4 year old daughter simply HAS to wear pink all the time and my wife hates it ;-). I think there is something inherently artificial and saccharine about pink which I think works well in the virtual world. It’s certainly hard to miss, much like yellow. There’s a certain endearing, low key quality about it. The word kitsch comes to mind immediately. Feminine like Barbie. In the native sl client with all it’s blues and greens pink is the noisy aunt that just won’t go home.
Bouquets,
Juria
